At the Greenfield Village Printing Office, we have innovated with new techniques and antique equipment to letterpress print on fabric, an uncommon process resulting in a one of a kind product line. By printing our initial impressions from our collection of 19th Century wood & metal type, we’ve designed vintage looking images that we then convert into photopolymer plates, making them reproducible on fabric using our 21st Century etching press. 

The Frozen Custard Tote Bag celebrates one of the biggest crowd-pleasers at Greenfield Village, our frozen custard stand. Creatively using our collection antique wood typefaces, the artisan printmaker highlighted some favorite flavors in the design, with the words “Frozen Custard” in large rounded Tuscan Gothic Condensed wood type by William Page & Co from 1849. Printed in black in on a large, classic canvas tote bag.
