To mark the nation’s 250th anniversary, The Henry Ford created two unique exhibitions, Handmade: The Crafting of America and Fabric of America: Our Fashions, Textiles, and Technologies. These two limited-run exhibitions feature hundreds of artifacts drawn exclusively from the institution's collection brought together to explore the American story through the lens of clothing, fabric, machinery, and craft. Both were created to celebrate human ingenuity, creativity, and the particular blend of design and utility that Americans have exemplified over these past 250 years. Designed to deepen you experience, this exhibition catalog features stunning photos of the artifacts alongside information provided by the curators behind the collections.
