First brought to Firestone Farm in the 1820s, Merino sheep have been successively bred and raised in Greenfield Village for the past 35 years. Prized for its resilience and softness, it’s ideal for knitting. Each spring our farmers shear the sheep and begin the historic process of turning raw wool into yarn. These 4oz. skeins yield approximately 250 yards of yarn.
