The American Heritage collection is made using replica iron molds from the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company (1820-1883), harkening back to a time when glass manufacturers developed techniques to make decorative glassware more available to the public.

Firing Glasses refer to one version of the “shot glass” origin story. It is said that in early America, ceremonial glasses were used to mark occasions like votes or salutes. Participants would raise their glasses, take the “shot” and then slam the glasses down on the table to resemble a volley of gunfire. Handmade glass item, size and shape may vary slightly. 1.75”x1.75”x3.25”.
