Stoneware Tavern Tankard

Not all guys prefer a standard mug style when drinking their ale.  This stoneware tankard offers a hefty-look with plenty of room to fit fingers into the handle. Made by the potters in Greenfield Village, it is hand thrown and salt glazed. The finish for each piece is determined by the amount of salt thrown in the firing process, the location it is placed in the kiln and the seasoned condition of that kiln. No two tankards are alike, but all have that incredibly interesting glaze feature.
