This illustrated history of The Henry Ford begins with Henry Ford’s mission to preserve American history for future generations as he sent agents to scour the country collecting ordinary objects representing everyday life. Concurrently began construction of the museum proper, the building of a village, over the years as stewards of Ford Rouge factory tour, introduction of the Henry Ford Academy, Benson Ford Research Center, Innovation Nation TV show--all milestones over the decades. Acquisitions continued to grow beyond collecting automobiles to design innovation (Dymaxion House), social awareness (the Rosa Parks bus) and new exhibitions like Mathematica.
