Here is a can't-live-without serving piece made by the potters of Greenfield Village. Our dip cooler has a bottom crock and a bowl liner to allow ice to be present in the under layer of the bowl to keep food chilled. One very popular use is to keep salsa cool. Here is a recipe to try (from our executive kitchen):
Heirloom Tomato Salsa
2 cups heirloom tomatoes
1 fresh jalapeno, seeded and minced
2 garlic cloves, minced fine
1 Tablespoon cilantro leaves, minced fine
1 teaspoon dark chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Juice of 1/2 lime
salt and pepper
Combine the first 7 ingredients and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste
