This now well-known J. Howard Miller poster was commissioned in 1942 by the Westinghouse Company's War Production Coordinating Committee, one of many such committees under the supervision of the War Production Board. Originally displayed only at Westinghouse factories, the poster was intended to discourage employee strikes and absences.
