In the early 1960s, for the developers George and Robert Alexander, Donald Wexler and his engineer, Perlin, designed a neighborhood of 38 flat- or folded-roofed all-steel homes at the edge of Palm Springs. Seven were built until the price of steel soared and those seven remain. The design is timeless modern. Simple lines of these homes lend themselves as beautiful artwork.
