The Printing Office Botanical Collection was created from foraging natural materials around the Greenfield Village Mill Pond in late summer, then printing with real flowers, leaves, and grasses on our etching press to create new, experimental images. The resulting designs are reminiscent of dried bouquets, and are turned into photopolymer plates that the artisans print onto fabric or paper.
The Mill Pond Napkin was designed using foraged fountain grass, mono-printed on our modern Takach Etching Press. The delicate impression is printed in black on opposite corners of the white cotton napkin.
