1972 Lincoln Continental Reagan Car, 1:24 scale
This 1:24 scale die cast limousine is part of a Presidential Series of truly impressive, oversized machines of their day. The original of this vehicle can be found on the floor of Henry Ford Museum.
For a bit of back story, on March 30, 1981, Ronald Reagan took refuge in the 1972 Lincoln Continental limousine's interior to escape would-be assassin John Hinckley's gunfire. Going into service under President Nixon, it was also the car in which President Ford was riding when an attempt was made on his life. These are incidents that shaped American history and required innovators to step up technology to keep our presidents safe. It has been said that this will be the last presidential limousine preserved intact for public view.
